Board of Censors

The Board of Censors is responsible for setting and measuring standards of practice for Accident and Medical Practitioners.

David Gollogly heads the subcommittee of the Board of Censors which assesses candidate applications for vocational registration, using the Board of Censors' vocational registration criteria.

The examination subcommittee sets the AMPEX examination, which is held in November.

Surgeon Commander, RNZN, Director of Naval Medicine

 

John Duncan is a graduate of Auckland Medical School. After ten years of general practice, he joined the RNZN in 1999 as as Medical Officer. He has worked at the Navy hospital and seen operational service in the Persian Gulf, East Timor, Solomon Is and Afghanistan.

 

He has gained experience in hyperbaric and diving medicine working at the Slark hyperbaric unit over the past 10 years and is now director of hyperbaric medicine.
