Membership
Joining AMPA
There are two classes of membership. Full membership is available to all doctors who spend the majority of their professional time in an
approved Accident
and Medical facility.
Associate membership is available to all other doctors with an interest in Accident and Medical practice. Associate members will be kept informed of AMPA's activities, but do not have voting rights. Associate members do not have to pay a joining fee on becoming full members.
The membership fee covers AMPA's costs in maintaining vocational
registration, and is the same for trainees, advanced trainees and
registrants. It does not cover the cost of any materials or servicse
provided by others.
Joining the Training or Recertification Programmes
Doctors who do not want to join AMPA but wish to train or
participate in reaccreditation may do so by filling in the relevant
section of the application form below. A vocational
registration fee is required, which is identical to the membership fee.
AMPA's vocational registration services are needed in order to
attain or maintain vocational registration in accident and medical
practice, and are not available to doctors who have not paid the
membership or vocational registration fee. AMPA notifies the MCNZ
of doctors who have ceased to participate in training or
reaccreditation.
